The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) UK and Ireland Chapter today announces two new Executive Committee members.

John Martinez, CEO of events management software company Shocklogic and Julie Watterston, Director of destination marketing company Watterston Associates bring new disciplines to the association to reflect the wide range of its members.

ICCA UK and Ireland Chapter Chair, Kerrin Macphie, says: “It gives me great pleasure to welcome John and Julie to the ICCA UK and Ireland Chapter Executive Committee. We felt that both their areas of expertise in events management software and international association research and destination marketing could support the Chapter in ways we have not been able to do in the past.”

Julie adds: “I have been an ICCA member for a long time and have had the honour of speaking at various ICCA events. As a strong supporter of the value of the association to the ICCA membership, I am delighted to be appointed to the Executive Committee of the UK and Ireland Chapter. I hope that my expertise as a consultant in the field of association research and destination marketing will give a different perspective and help the Chapter to address the needs of all of its members from every sector of the industry”.
