Melios Balkana Mama
Melios Balkana Mama are a 9-member music group that started their “journey” in the music world in July 2011. Within a short period of time they have caused quite a stir in the Greek music scene with the plurality of their sound as well as their inspired remixes that redefine the Balkan/Ethnic element in a joyful and up-lifting way.
Melios Balkana Mama have collaborated with many important artists (The Athens State Orchestra, Maraveyas Ilegal, Yiannis Kotsiras, Nikos Portokaloglou, Panayotis Kalantzopoulos, Gerasimos Andreatos, Sofia Papazoglou, Idra Kayne, Jerome Kaluta and others) and have taken part in several festivals and projects (Athens World Music Festival, ARK Festival and in the Competition Section of Greek Short Film Festival with the soundtrack of the awarded film “Blue Wagon”). At the moment they are at the studio working on their first album to be released soon.
