ASEAN to pre-launch “Visit ASEAN@50: Golden Celebration” campaign at ITB Berlin

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN, will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2017 and the ten national tourism associations of member countries have developed the “Visit ASEAN@50: Golden Celebration” campaign for the occasion. With it, ASEAN wants to commemorate its 50 years and present itself as a unique and unified tourist destination.

The respective ministers and those responsible for tourism in ASEAN member states will officially pre-launch the “Visit ASEAN@50: Golden Celebration” campaign at ITB Berlin on Thursday, 10 March 2016 at the Malaysia stand in Hall 26 A.

On 12 and 13 March 2016, which are open to the public, ASEAN will host cultural demonstrations at the Thailand stand in Hall 26 B.

The “Visit ASEAN@50: Golden Celebration” campaign in 2017 will include the 50 best festivals and the 50 most memorable travel experiences within ASEAN countries, including a wide range of destinations, culinary highlights and events. Vacationers can take advantage of special travel packages offered in cooperation with various partners and experience the rich culture, nature and unique hospitality of the ASEAN region for themselves.
