Central Hall Westminster recently played host to Stand Up To Cancer, one of Britain’s most watched television programmes of 2016.

The fundraising event was broadcast live from Central Hall on 21st October. After a night of comedy, music and more, Davina McCall, Alan Carr and Adam Hills finished the seven-hour telethon by announcing that a staggering £15,700,222 million had been raised. This is the second time that Channel 4 has selected Central Hall for this prestigious event.

Stand Up To Cancer is a joint national fundraising campaign from Cancer Research UK and Channel 4 which raises funds for translational research, accelerating new cancer treatments and tests to UK patients to save more lives, more quickly.

Paul Southern, Managing Director of Central Hall Westminster, commented: “I am very proud of all the hard work the team have put in to make this a truly memorable event. It’s an honour to have been selected to host the Stand Up To Cancer event for the second time in a row.”
