Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau announces the official opening of the Nestlé Museum (nest) to complement its meetings and events offering across the region.

The interactive and innovative visitor centre, which is located in the Swiss town of Vevey in Lake Geneva, opens to mark the food giant’s 150th anniversary. Nest houses a number of versatile and inspiring event spaces which can host up to 500 delegates for both small and large meetings, seminars and evening receptions. It offers a private area for large events in the Piazza, three meeting rooms in the Villa, the Mezzanine for cocktail or evening receptions and private hire of Café Henri.

Vevey is the birthplace of Nestlé, and delegates will be able to walk in the footsteps of Henri Nestlé and other inventors who shaped the famous Swiss brand. As well as taking the opportunity to follow an interactive trail to discover the magic of cult products, the museum also offers an audio-guide for self-tours around the facility, providing an optional activity for organisers hosting events within the venue.

Olivier Mathieu, Congress and Meetings Manager at Lausanne Tourism & Convention Bureau, says: “The nest is an excellent new addition to the region’s cultural attractions as well as our meetings and events offering. We are certain that the nest will become a popular events space with delegates looking for more than a box-standard venue to help inspire and encourage creativity.”
