Visit England launches business recovery webinars

Visit EnglandVisitEngland has held the first in a series of tourism industry business recovery webinars.

The free webinars focus on helping tourism businesses in England as the industry eases out of lockdown providing insights and practical tips for business recovery.

VisitEngland Director Andrew Stokes said: 

“Tourism is a vital part of the economy in England and it is crucial that the industry gets back on its feet as fast as possible as lockdown eases. These webinars will support businesses start back up and give them the tools and confidence to begin trading, getting the supply chain moving again and benefiting regions up and down the country.” 

The first session, Spotlight on inbound and domestic research and insights (30 June), featured speakers from VisitBritain, VisitEngland and Foresight Factory presenting the latest quantitative and qualitative research on domestic and international tourism.

Further sessions include topics such as ‘Business adaptation and re-opening’ (2 July), ‘Speaking to customers in a post-Covid world’ (9’ July), ‘Sustainability’ (30th July), ‘Using travel technology to maximise your business’‘ and ‘Creating great presentations’ (6th August). The webinars feature speakers from across the travel industry and further afield, including travel journalist Richard Mellor and speakers from City Nation Place, Green Tourism, RHS, Get Your Guide and Buffalo 7.
