RyanairRyanair announced a new Newcastle to Chania  (Crete) route, commencing in July 2021, flying twice a week as part of Ryanair’s UK Summer 2021 schedule.

UK families can now book a summer getaway, flying on the lowest fares and with the option to avail of Ryanair’s zero change fee should plans change.

Ryanair’s Commercial Director, Jason Mc Guinness, said:

“We are pleased to announce a new Newcastle to Chania route, commencing in July 2021 and flying twice weekly as part of our UK Summer 2021 schedule.

Mindful that Covid restrictions change regularly, customers can now book flights for a well-deserved break knowing that if they need to postpone or change their travel dates, they can do so up to two times with a zero change fee until the end of October 2021.

Leon McQuaid, Head of Aviation at Newcastle International Airport said:

“We are delighted that Ryanair have added this twice weekly service to Chania, Crete from July. This is excellent news for those in the North East considering a getaway this summer when travel restrictions are eased.

Despite the pandemic and the impact it is having on the aviation industry, this eighth destination from Ryanair shows that Newcastle International Airport is going from strength to strength and we look forward to welcoming customers from across the region to travel to these popular destinations.”
