AEGEAN received significant award at Skytrax 2021

AEGEAN stood out by receiving significant awards at the 2021 World Airline Awards organized by Skytrax, the international air transport rating organization. A benchmark for the aviation industry and a milestone for the industry this year’s awards were held for the first time amidst the pandemic.

AEGEAN has been announced as the Best Regional Airline in Europe

During the award ceremony that was realized on Tuesday, 28 September in London, AEGEAN has been announced as the Best Regional Airline in Europe for 10th consecutive year and 11th time in the last 12 years.

Moreover, AEGEAN was named 3rd Best Regional Airline in the Word, was ranked 10th in Europe for its cabin crew, was amongst the World’s Top 100 Airlines for 2021 (36th) and was amongst the winners of the COVID-19 Airline Excellence Award 2021 category, that rate the COVID-19 standards and best practices for the health and safety measures applied for both passengers and crew on board and on the ground.

Edward Plaisted, Skytrax CEO, said: “AEGEAN has achieved a significant record as passengers voted the airline as the best regional airline for the 10th consecutive year, a record for Skytrax World Airline Awards. All airlines were evaluated by the travellers for the high quality of the services offered by their staff, supported by an overall strong and attractive travel product. We are optimistic for the future and hope that from 2022 travel will return to normal”.
