MasterChef Australia judge on his way to Gourmet Abu Dhabi

George Calombaris, the chef now known worldwide as a judge of the highly successful MasterChef Australia TV series and the architect of ‘Modern Greek’ cuisine, is to star in a celebrity dinner, chateau dinner and host a free-to-attend masterclass as part of Gourmet Abu Dhabi.

One of Australia’s top chefs, 33-year-old George, will host the celebrity dinner at the Yas Island Rotana – Abu Dhabi on February 10, demonstrate his culinary skills at the masterclass in the Armed Forces Officers Club & Hotel on February 11 and star in a Chateau Dinner at the Yas Viceroy Hotel on February 12.

Although born and bred in Melbourne, Australia, George’s Greek heritage was central in his upbringing and its rich and varied cuisine later became his trademark. Recognised by the Greek hospitality industry for his endeavours to promote Hellenic food, George claims that his cuisine is a story about his Greek heart and his Australian way.
