Gdansk – where Solidarity was born

Symbolic date was chosen for the official opening of another spectacular venue – the European Solidarity Centre. In 1980 August 30th-31st crucial agreement between authority in those days and representatives of Solidarity movement was signed. 34 years later Lech Walesa, President of Poland and historical leader of Solidarity opened European Solidarity Centre. From outside this venue reminds ship under construction, inside there is over 26 000 m2 floorage (offices, library, conference rooms, exhibition space.) European Solidarity Centre is also the only venue in Gdansk where trees grow inside beautiful foyer. Imagine those breath-taking conferences, workshops and evening galas to be hosted there.

European Solidarity Centre and Gdansk Shakespeare Theatre are much more than only new venues to organize events in Gdansk. Unique atmosphere of both venues will surely attract most demanding business guests.
