Europe’s third-largest low-cost airline Norwegian, announces the launch of new long-haul operations from Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport.

From 29 July, Norwegian will begin its first operations from Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle Airport with low-cost long-haul flights to New York, Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale/Miami on the following schedules:

New York JFK Start date – 29 July

Four times weekly – Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday

Fares from €179 one-way

Los Angeles Start date – 30 July

Twice weekly – Tuesday and Saturday

Fares from €179 one-way

Fort Lauderdale/Miami Start date – 4 August

Weekly – Thursday

Fares from €199 one-way

Norwegian already operates short-haul flights from Paris Orly Airport to European destinations:Oslo, Bergen, Stockholm, Copenhagen, and Helsinki.

Norwegian will thus offer over 212,000 long-haul seats in its first full year of operations at Charles-de-Gaulle. The flights will be served by Norwegian’s brand new, start-of-the art fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners, with a capacity of 291 seats —32 seats in Premium class and 259 in Economy class.

With an average fleet age of just 3.6 years, Norwegian has one of the youngest and greenest fleets in the world. The Dreamliner produces 20 per cent fewer emissions than comparable aircraft and in 2015, Norwegian was named the most fuel-efficient airline on transatlantic routes by The International Council on Clean Transportation (ICCT).

Norwegian currently operates a fleet of eight Dreamliners, which will grow to 38 by the year 2020.

 

Norwegian in France: 31 routes to twelve airports

With the addition of Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle, Norwegian will operate 31 routes from 12 airports in France: Paris Charles de Gaulle and Paris Orly, Ajaccio, Bastia, Biarritz, Bordeaux, Grenoble, Marseille-Provence, Montpellier, and Nice, as well as Guadeloupe and La Martinique in the French Antilles.

In 2015, Norwegian carried 967,000 passengers in France (+4.4% on a year earlier), with 385,000 passengers who flew in and out of Paris Orly Airport (+8.8%)
