Last year broke all records for meetings at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre. All in all, a record total of 1,706 meetings, congresses and other events were organised during the year. The number is almost 15% above that of the previous year.

‘In addition to meetings, congresses and events, the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre organised approximately 80 trade fair events. Over the year, the Centre provided its services to over one million visitors. These figures mean that we are the largest event venue in Finland’, rejoices Congress Manager Veronica Krabbe.

The largest international congress of the year was ECP, the European Congress of Pathology, which brought 2,400 top medical professionals and exhibitors to the Centre. The new year will also bring several congresses, of which the largest will be the World Library and Information Congress WLIC 2012 in August.

Quantity did not diminish the quality of the Centre’s congress services. Feedback from the respondents of the TNS Gallup Congress Venue Survey was particularly positive for the Centre’s sales services and contact personnel.
