Skyscanner’s Sam Poullain said: “January is typically a very busy month for holiday bookings, as British workers get back to their desks after the festive period and need that next holiday away to look forward to. We’re expecting the old favourites such as Spain, Italy and the US to be at the top of the list, but we’re also seeing a significant rise in destinations further afield such as Myanmar and China, while we expect to see Croatia become a firm favourite with those looking for an alternative sun spot in the Mediterranean.”
