From February to December 2010, more than 35 restaurants, bars and hotel restaurants will challenge their customers to savour dishes inspired by the Greek cuisine and prepared solely with Greek products. Foodies across the country visiting the “Taste of Greece” restaurants will live the ultimate gastronomic experience, enjoy the “twisted” Greek recipes and delicious Greek cocktails and enter the competitions to win luxury trips to Greece, offered by Aegean airlines, Aldemar Hotels and CV Travel.
The “Taste of Greece” launching event took place on the 9th of February at the Cookbook Café (InterContinental London Park Lane) with impressive demonstrations of Modern Greek dishes by the country’s best chefs and world’s best barman! UK chefs and journalists UK had a chance to experience the culinary skills of Christoforos Peskias and Stelios Parliaros and cocktail ‘mixologist’ Aristotelis Papadopoulos. Throughout the day they indulged in the tastes of Trachana soup, the mysteries of mastic in a feta cheese mousse, Pork Belly Souvlaki, all watered down with Tzatziki Martinis, Baklava Martinis and crisp Greek wine!
