The building, designed by the architect Bruce S. Fairbanks, is 250,000 square metres and is divided into three parts: the “processor” building, with 86 new check-in desks, the transportation hub and the new dock D, with 20 boarding gates.

This extension to Malaga´s airport will increase the flow of passengers to 9,000 per hour and 30 million passengers a year.

Once passed security control, in the 18,000 square metre commercial area, you´ll find the first National Geographic boutique in Spain and the amazing Ferrari Boutique. There´s also an enormous choice of eating establishments including Malaga´s own chef Dani Garcia´s (Michelin star rated) “La Moraga Airport” restaurant.

Malaga´s second runway will be opening during the next few months and a new train station will complete this new project.
