As 2010 comes to an end, Tivoli – the famous amusement park in the heart of Copenhagen – can start developing and drawing plans for a new “Tivoli Casino” at its H.C. Andersen Palace adjacent to the Copenhagen City Hall Square. The new casino is scheduled to open in 2012.

Only last month Tivoli attained permission from the Danish Ministry of Justice to run a casino in the heart of the Danish capital and thus, an old wish has come true. And for Tivoli opening a casino and most likely a restauratna dn a pintable arcade is in fine line with the Garden’s more than 100-year tradition of offering all kinds of fun games.

Tivoli is experienced in the gambling business and by now it operates four pintable arcades inside the amusement park. With the new “Tivoli Casino” the ambition is to give Copenhagen and Denmark a new entertainment venue of high international standard, which can help boost the awareness and preference for Copenhagen as a fun and attractive destination for foreign visitors – business and leisure travellers alike.
