According to ATOR Analytical Service, the Russians kept the leading position in the rating of the countries – major suppliers of the tourists to Finland with the share of 22% in 2010 (509 400 people). Such indicator was the best one in the history of the Russian tourism (+11.6% in comparison with 2009). It’s important to note, that despite the stable growth of the interest in Finland, the Russian tour operators don’t admit serious leaps: the great demand is noted among the independent tourists.

According to the operators, some share of the growth was provided by the independent travellers. Simple visa formalities for private clients don’t increase the number of the tourists who plan to book the trip via travel agent. Moreover, the residents of St. Petersburg receive the multiple visas and can easily travel to Finland several times a year. atorus.ru
