Abu Dhabi, UAE – 29 September 2012 to 2 October 2012

World Routes 2012 in Abu Dhabi.

The 18th World Route Development Forum is the largest global event of its kind, determining the future of air services; while Abu Dhabi, capital of the United Arab Emirates, is one of the most forward-looking, centrally located and easily accessible cities on Earth.

Hosted by Abu Dhabi Airports Company and supported by official carrier Etihad Airways and Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, the 2012 event is targeted to attract over 2,750 delegates from more than 80 countries. It also marks the first time the event has returned to a previous host city.

Back in 1996, Abu Dhabi’s downtown Hilton Hotel was the setting for one of our first World Routes events. 16 years later, delegates will be able to witness for themselves the immense changes that demonstrate how the city’s future as a world class destination is taking shape, and experience firsthand the wonderful Arabian hospitality of Abu Dhabi.

ONE-TO-ONE MEETINGS

Scheduling for World Routes 2012,  Abu Dhabi commenced on 12th June 2012 and will run till 14th September 2012 and this year we will be unveiling new and enhanced measures to offer more meeting choices for delegates, whether through the traditional One-to-One 20 minute meetings in the halls or at strategic meetings on stands.

World Routes will offer meeting platforms that cater for all route development requirements. The event has evolved to include a major exhibition within the Networking Village as well as a growing conference programme.

Pre-scheduled One-to-One Meetings – These form the core of  World Routes and offer you the chance to meet all your targeted airlines face to face. When selecting your meetings please make sure you let us know why you want to meet the airlines of your choice as this will help us to confirm this meeting with them!

Extended Meetings on Exhibition Stands – These meetings allow airports and their stakeholders to have extended, pre-scheduled, face to face meetings in the privacy of their exhibition stand allowing airlines to experience first-hand their airport and destination. Stand holders will be given the option to also hold their standard 20 minute meetings on their Exhibition Stand.
These meetings will now also take place not just on the traditional Monday and Tuesday but will also on the Sunday of the event.

City Pair Meetings – In addition to the pre-scheduled meetings included in every airport’s attendance package, airports attending can now request up to 5 meetings with other airports at no additional cost. ‘City Pair’ Meetings will allow the two airports to identify new opportunities, share ideas and approaches, exchange data and contacts and jointly plan ‘City Pair’ strategies and presentations.

Above all, ‘City Pair’ Meetings may be “win-win” for both airlines and airports. For airlines, it can give them a complete picture without the need to reconcile data and have multiple meetings. For airports, it can lead to joint support packages, potentially saving valuable time and money. These meetings available at World Routes are free and unlimited for all airport delegates.

When scheduling opens you will find clear instructions on how to submit your meetings via the RoutesonlineHome Page
