Bern, June 2012 – A special guest of the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern has been honoured in a special way: Lolita Morena was given a nameplate at the legendary Jack’s Brasserie. A long-standing tradition of the internationally renowned luxury hotel has thus been revived.

Jack’s Brasserie’s elegant banquettes are adorned with small plates engraved with the names of personalities from the worlds of society, culture, business and politics who have stayed at the Hotel Schweizerhof Bern. This special tradition dates back to the tenure of former Schweizerhof owner Jean-Jacques Gauer, who significantly contributed to establishing the luxury hotel as a leading figurehead of Swiss hospitality. “We very much want to keep this tradition alive at the new Schweizerhof “, says current General Manager Michael Thomann. “Jack’s is something like Bern’s ‘Walk of Fame'”.

Lolita Morena, actress, television hostess and dedicated animal-rights campaigner, thus continues a tradition that distinguishes famous personalities as long-standing Schweizerhof guests and friends. “This nameplate fills me with joy and even pride”, admits Lolita Morena. “We regularly hold meetings here with the Swiss Animal Protection, and its President has often jokingly wondered why no plate was yet bearing my name – and now it has happened!”. One thing is clear: “From today, I will only be booking ‘my’ table at the Schweizerhof.”
