Annual Conference to be held at Beaumont Estate, Windsor 16th-18th April, 2013

The Institute of Travel and Meetings (ITM) has opened registration for its 2013 annual conference ‘Intelligent Interaction’. This 2.5 day event will be held at the Beaumont Estate in Windsor, 16th-18th April.

Over 350 senior travel buyer and supplier leaders will once again meet to discuss the current climate of the travel and meetings industry and how to shape its future. The conference moderator will be BBC News Anchorman Huw Edwards who returns for the second year in a row.

In addition to a ‘C’ Level leadership panel delegates have the choice of 12 breakout sessions including educational ‘Masterclass’ workshops offering practical advice and take away tools including Traveller security and risk management and Creative approaches to balancing cost and service.

The second stream ‘Centre Stage’ delves into driving Policy & Compliance including Demand Management – Managing traveller buying behaviour and the Price is Right, a session that will explore the differences between Transaction Fee and Management Fee and discuss the pros and cons of the complex money flow in the travel industry.

The third stream, and back by popular demand, is the ‘In the Hot seat’ series where Buyers and other Industry experts will share their experiences and case studies on a variety of topics including European consolidation and integration and Proven benefits of mobile travel and Social Media Applications.
In keeping with the conference theme the event promises to be the most interactive of any ITM Conference. New for 2013 is an Interactive Exhibition where delegates can get up to date with the latest technology and new products on the market plus individual handheld devices using the latest iPhone technology will be handed to each delegate enabling users to interact throughout the 2 day event by electronically swapping business cards, sending messages person to person, voting during sessions or posting messages on the ITM Twitter wall.

The networking opportunities include Buyer & Supplier 1-2-1 Business meetings, the Chill Out and Tune In Opening Networking Reception plus the Chairman’s Reception and Black Tie Ball which this year will feature the inaugural ITM Travel Buyer of the Year Recognition Awards.

About the Conference Diane Steed, Head of Sales & Marketing for ITM added:
“ITM is the expert in providing Travel Intelligence to our members but this year’s event will be more collaborative than any other. It will be a thought provoking and engaging 2.5 days. Anyone who purchases business travel, meetings or related services on behalf of their organisation will not want to miss this event!”
