England’s changing room at Twickenham Stadium has re-opened to event organisers following a major overhaul of the space as part of the £75m modernisation and improvement project being carried out by the Rugby Football Union at the stadium ahead of the Rugby World Cup in 2015.

The changing room has played host to captains of commerce as well as captains of rugby and has now been upgraded to include a whole new look and feel for the space with an emphasis on celebrating the heritage of England Rugby, for example, a wall of honour featuring the names of every player to be capped for England. As an events space, the changing rooms provide a truly unique opportunity to host memorable dinners, receptions or break out activities.

The newly modernised changing rooms will be offered as part of the event space portfolio at the stadium, offering dining facilities for up to 50 guests and breakout facilities for up to 100 delegates. The external space in close proximity to the England changing rooms, including the visitors changing rooms, the players’ tunnel and pitch side, has also been refurbished to further extend the events space. The dinner experience within the England Changing Rooms at Twickenham Stadium can be further enhanced with rugby memorabilia and the inclusion of ex-international rugby players as guest speakers.

Chris Morris, Managing Director of Twickenham Experience who sell and operate all the non-match day facilities at Twickenham Stadium, says: “The England changing room is one of our most unique dining and meeting spaces within the stadium and is immensely popular with our corporate clients. The newly refurbished facilities have been designed to create the optimum motivational environment for the England rugby team to prepare for a match. It is an inspirational space at the heart of Twickenham Stadium and we are delighted to be able to offer access to clients to create truly memorable events.”
