From spring 2010 Kensington will be transformed into the Enchanted Palace. Bring your groups for a journey through the spellbound palace and discover its tales of love and hate, surprise and sadness, secrets and jealousy. As visitors travel through the State Apartments they will encounter a series of stunning installations of contemporary fashion from leading designers and up and coming fashion talent.
These will be woven together with stories from the palace´s history. Moving through the enchanted rooms visitors will discover intriguing, mysterious characters and strange and wonderful happenings. Groups will enter the world of the unexpected for a unique opportunity to explore the magic and drama of Kensington’s past. We aim to conjure up an unforgettable experience embracing spectacle and fashion using the grand, dramatic spaces of the State Apartments as a stunning backdrop.
The Enchanted Palace experience is inspired by the changes taking place to the palace from 2010 which will improve accessibility, reconnect the palace with the neighbouring park through new public gardens inspired by the area´s historic landscape, and realise our ambition to open up the palace´s rich and varied stories to the widest possible audience.
