ACC Liverpool and Liverpool Convention Bureau hosted an upscale dinner with a group of prestigious international event organisers on Wednesday in Geneva.

The event reflects both the venue and the destination’s pull in the international corporate and association markets.  Hosted by Head of Sales Kerrin MacPhie, guests included European Society for Dermatological Research, International Road Federation, and European College of Gerodontology.

After a private dinner hosted by Kerrin and the Liverpool Convention Bureau, guests enjoyed a concert by world renowned Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in Geneva’s celebrated Rococo style Victoria Hall. Guests then enjoyed a private audience with Principal Conductor Vasily Petrenko who is widely recognised as one of the exceptional musicians of his generation.

International Baccalaureate, who attended the evening, used the opportunity to sign their contract for their 3 day regional event set to be held at ACC Liverpool in September 2010 for 750 delegates from over 80 countries.  The International Baccalaureate Africa, Europe & Middle East regional conference is a unique forum that will draw together the ideas and creativity of educators from a diverse range of countries and cultures.

Kerrin MacPhie said, “Geneva is recognised as being Europe’s centre for PCOs, hence it made sense for us to capitalise on this visit from the Liverpool Royal Philharmonic Orchestra.  Both the Orchestra and our venue represent the very best that the city has to offer to business and leisure travellers and we are delighted with the feedback from our guests!”

Acc Liverpool will continue its global presence by attending IMEX Frankfurt in May 2010.
