The countdown to Lime Venue Portfolio and Ireland’s most prolific opening of 2010 is on.

Not only is Aviva Stadium Dublin gearing up for its much anticipated launch on May 14th, it is also getting ready for a series of high profile events drawn to the venue’s directional design and attitude.

At a cost of 350m Euros, Aviva Stadium Dublin is already featuring as a new landmark on the city’s skyline and venue of choice for many of Europe’s key events. In the first 6 weeks alone of opening, the venue is set to host keynote gatherings including: Eurocloud Ireland, the Volvo VIP S60 Preview Event, College of Anaesthetics, Microsoft, CEPIC and the Event Industry Awards.

Collectively the events will bring over 10,000 delegates to new event space, whilst later on in the year, the stadium will attract fans of Michael Buble for the venue’s first concert.

On June 3rd, Aviva Stadium will be going ‘Pop Up’ in London, attracting key event buyers to a showcase evening.

Aviva Stadium’s Cailin Keaney said: “Aviva Stadium is at the fore of the Irish and international media as it plays a huge part in our heritage as the home of Ireland’s national rugby and football teams.   This is one of the most advanced structures in the city in terms of its design and also the significant work we have put into limiting its environmental impact; both during its build and in the longer term when we are hosting events”.

Louise Amphlett, head of Lime Venue Portfolio said: “Aviva Stadium Dublin is proving to be a huge success with corporate event planners and association meeting organisers already.  The demand for the venue is certainly outstripping availability as planners seek to use Europe’s hottest opening of the season”
