WELL DONE STEPHEN!

This year saw Just a Drop’s first entry in the London Marathon with Stephen Sackur, BBC journalist and presenter of the current affairs programme HARDtalk complete the course in 4 hours 33 minutes and raise over £5,000 for the charity.

Stephen said: ‘All in all the 30th London marathon was a fabulous experience – weather perfect and my knees refused to buckle under pressure. Was momentarily taken aback half way round to be overtaken by a banana and a beer bottle, but rallied towards the end to post a time of 4 hrs 33, which was way better than fairly grim expectations.

Most important of all, donors have been incredibly generous, so a huge thank you to everyone who supported ‘Just a Drop’. So far the tally is just over £5,000 – and if there is anyone out there who wanted to sponsor me, but didnt quite get round to it, then its not too late. My JustGiving page stays live for the next couple of months, should you feel so inclined.

I know the Just a Drop team are incredibly grateful for all the money that’s been given; and I can guarantee you it will be put to very, very good use.

Thanks once again. I’m going for a bath and a long lie down.’

All best wishes

Stephen
