More than 600 thousand Russians visited Thailand

A record-breaking demand for the tours to Thailand was noted in 2010. More than 600 thousand Russian tourists visited the country during last year. According to ATOR Analytical Service, it was the best indicator for the last 4 years.

The number of the Russian tourists has been increasing constantly since 2007. It can be explained by the quality-price ratio of the holidays and visa free entrance for the Russians for the duration of stay up to one month.

Russian market demonstrated a record-breaking dynamics of the growth in comparison with other countries which provide the major tourist flow to Thailand: the number of the Russians increased by 80% during the year. Such data was announced by the Ministry of Tourism and Sport of Thailand.

It’s interesting to note that last year the Russians took 11th place in the list of the major suppliers of the tourists to Thailand with the share of 3.87% gaining 5 rating positions in comparison with 2009. As for the European market, Russia takes the 3rd place in the rating after the UK and Germany.
