Olympic themed after hours networking will continue at the International Confex party, which is being held on Wednesday 2nd March from 6.30pm at London’s Grace Bar, located in the West End.

Sponsored by ExCeL London, attendees at the party will be able to mix with a glittering array of Olympic Medallists courtesy of the Party for the Podium Event Experience. Olympic Champion Sally Gunnell will be joined by London 2012 medal hopefuls rowing Gold Medallist Zac Purchase, Bronze Medal winning hurdler Tasha Danvers and rower Steve Rowbotham.

Developed with the full input of the athletes; the patented event experience centres around a branded staging area, inviting event audiences to interact with the athletes. Everyone is presented with souvenirs by the athletes who then pop up and pose for photographs. The photographs are then printed on site, and those making a donation to charity can even get their photo signed by the athletes providing a unique souvenir.

International Confex Portfolio Director Jonny Sullens commented; “The Confex party is always one to remember and offers a fantastic opportunity to continue networking after the show has closed. With the forthcoming Olympics likely to be a hot topic during the show, and our own event moving right into the heart of the games action in 2012, it makes it natural to extend this to our after-show networking party.”

David Cotton, creator of Party for the Podium, commented; “Party for the Podium offers a flexible format which can be adapted to any indoor or outdoor event and we’re excited to be showcasing it during International Confex. Currently 2.3 million people have already signed up for London 2012 tickets, and with millions more expected to watch, the format is proving increasingly popular with event organisers.”
