Over three days, the 2010 GSMA Mobile Asia Congress brought together the leadership of Asian mobile operators and key players in the broader mobile ecosystem to discuss and further the Mobile Momentum.

Held 16-18 November 2010 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, attendees at Mobile Asia Congress discussed strategic and technological industry issues, with an emphasis on the way Asia drives the mobile momentum in innovation, advancement and adoption.

Keynote sessions and conference discussion topics touched on all areas of the industry, including:

  • “Changing Business Realities in the World of Mobile Applications”
  • “The Dawn of a New Era for Voice and Data Services”
  • “What Does the Future Hold for the Mobile Internet?”
  • “A Vision of 2020: Asia’s Influencers of Innovation”

If you attended the conference and are interested in the presentations, they are now available for download.

In addition to this insightful conference, attendees were given opportunities to network with one another and seek out new ideas, products and partners in the Mobile Asia Congress Exhibition. Attendees were able to set up meetings and begin discussions before the event using My MAC , a social networking tool exclusively for MAC attendees.

Mobile application developers joined the event this year as part of App Planet, the ‘Centre of the Apps Universe’ in Asia. Through App Developer Conferences and App Bytes, developers were able to learn from and connect with the creators of the platforms and tools used to create mobile apps, the industry’s hottest trend.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club’s Happy Valley Racecourse was the exciting backdrop for Wednesday’s Networking Party & Awards Celebration, where the winners of the 2010 Mobile Asia Congress Awards were announced. Click here for the list of winners.
