Green Congress IBFM 2011 in Gdansk

Between 6-8 of May 2011, the 22nd Annual Meeting of the International BFM Study Group (IBFM 2011) will take place in Gdansk. The Congress will gather most outstanding scientists focused on children oncological hematology. The main meeting venue is Polish Baltic Philharmonic Hall. The organizers estimate over 450 participants from Poland and abroad. The 22nd Annual Meeting of the International BFM Study Group will be organized applying sustainable event principles. That is why it is called ‘green’.

The Chairman of the Local Organizing Committee, Prof. Jerzy Kowalczyk from the Children’s University Hospital in Lublin assures that the schedule of the meeting will be similar to the previous ones including closed meetings, committee meetings and plenary sessions. Once again the participants will have a chance to discuss the most important issues, new research data and exchange ideas on the important subject of the children oncological hematology.

The Congress for the first time in history will take place in Poland. The honored patronage over the congress has been taken by Marshall of the Pomeranian Voivodeship.  Gdansk Convention Bureau is actively helping in organizing  the meeting – ‘Volunteers for Gdansk’ will take part in it.
