The integration of Meetings Mindset® services into the delegate experience forms part of the most comprehensive education programme to ever be held at IMEX in Frankfurt, with over 90 additional seminars taking place over the duration of the exhibition.

‘Prepare, Perform and Produce at Meetings’

Delegates will have the opportunity to utilise a variety of innovative, interactive and creative solutions developed by Meetings Mindset® to help them maximise their performance within the exhibition environment. Jon Bradshaw, founder and CEO, Meetings Mindset® and business development director, IMEX Group, said: “IMEX in Frankfurt offers 15,000 people an exceptional environment to do business, but we realised that how each person performs onsite – and therefore benefits from the event – is directly related to how they prepare, and is why we launched Meetings Mindset® at IMEX last year.”

In advance of the show, the Meetings Mindset® Online Performance Center will assist delegates in setting specific and measurable goals for the exhibition. Here, delegates can pick up valuable tips, tools and techniques on how to achieve these goals and then, following the show, can update their profiles to produce analytics of their performance and plan ahead to their next exhibition. This innovative platform can only be accessed via the IMEX website by registered hosted buyers, visitors and exhibitors.

IMEX in Frankfurt will also host two Meetings Mindset® Pit Stops. The first will be located in the hosted buyer lounge and will offer clothed massages to buyers. The second will be on the show floor and will offer brain training and practical tips on how to improve onsite meeting performance. Additionally, there will be nutritional information available at each food outlet on the show floor.

Meetings professionals wishing to learn more about this innovative new service, or improve their performance at IMEX itself, will be able to hear from Jonathan Bradshaw in a presentation entitled “Are you in the Meetings Mindset®?” His interactive, humorous and powerful session, which has been delivered in over 10 countries already, links to the foundation of practical, mental and physical meetings performance and will take place at the Professional Development and Innovation Pavilion (PDIP) on Wednesday 25 May.

Hot Topic Campfires

Delegates will be spoilt for choice with the full seminar programme available at IMEX in Frankfurt 2011. A new addition will be a series of hot topic ‘campfires’. These 30 minute sessions will be available to just 10 or 12 visitors. Each will offer an intimate setting to discuss subjects with experts and peers. Campfire sessions will provide fast-track introductions to fundamental business skills including the value of in-house PR, new cross-cultural approaches and managing online services. All will be delivered by experts in their field and will take place on the Professional Development and Innovation Pavilion.

Other highlights on the packed agenda include: Fast Future Research presenting the latest findings from its Convention 2020 research; SportAccord presenting ‘Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About International Sport (but were afraid to ask)’; MeetGreen® presenting a sustainability case study on IMEX America; Global Cynergies presenting ‘Doing Business in a Global Environment’ and, as ever, the latest updates and thought leadership from all of the leading industry associations.

There will also be a number of dedicated German language seminars, which will be split into key topic areas: social media, CSR/green, association management, business travel and legal issues. Each day will feature a well-known speaker, including Dieter Baumann – a famous German athlete – and Sascha Lobo, a renowned German blogger and social media guru.
