The 53rd ICCA Congress will be held in Antalya, Turkey, in the first week of November of 2014.

The ICCA Board’s decision was made at the IMEX 2011 exhibition in

Frankfurt and was revealed on the last day of the show. The other finalists

in the bidding competition were Houston, TX, U.S.A. and Monterrey, Mexico.

Martin Sirk ICCA CEO said: “Each year the standard of bids for the ICCA Congress gets higher and higher, with exceptionally creative ideas and teamwork.  Passing on the bad news to the unsuccessful candidates is probably the worst part of my job, since I know how much passion, hard work and inspiration went into creating the bids of Houston, Texas and Monterrey, Mexico.  I know that both destinations will continue to enjoy tremendous success in the international meetings market.  As for Antalya and the whole Turkish team, I offer my congratulations on a fantastic effort.”

ICCA’s 50th Congress, incorporating the ICCA General Assembly, will be held in Leipzig, Germany from 22 to 26 October this year. This annual event is expected to bring together approximately 1,000 senior level professionals from the meetings industry for networking, high-level education, exchange of business and tailor-made expert advice.
