COMPETITIVE RATES FOR EXHIBITORS AND VISITORS

Shortly after ICCA’s announcement that Barcelona has been ranked as the 2nd most popular city destination for hosting international association meetings – EIBTM has successfully secured competitive rates with 47 partner hotels for this year’s exhibition and announced that once again its international airline partner this year will be Lufthansa.

This year there are 41 official (4* and 5*) partnering hotels in Barcelona located near to the Fira Gran Via, the venue for EIBTM 2011. There are also a further 6 non-official partnering (4* status) hotels. A free shuttle bus service will operate between all official hotels, the airport and the venue.

Mercedes Garcia, Marketing Manager for Barcelona Convention Bureau commented: “These partnerships are a great example of the value that Barcelona can offer as a meetings destination. By working with local hotels and facilities on the run up to the show it ensures that meetings planners will be guaranteed the best value for money and receive the best possible experience when they visit EIBTM”.

Graeme Barnett, EIBTM Event Director added: “We have worked closely with Barcelona Hotels Association to coordinate our Official Hotel Programme. As a result of this partnership we are very pleased to confirm extremely competitive rates ranging from as low as 135 Euros for the Fira Congress adjacent to the venue and up to 339 Euros for the Hotel Arts. These reducedprices are limited to a first come, first served basis and we would advise all of our exhibitors and visitors to book early in order to take advantage of them.”

Additional supporters to EIBTM – the German airline; Lufthansa will once again provide competitive fares to all pre-registered trade visitors and exhibiting personnel. Lufthansa offers a comprehensive global route network linking Barcelona, Spain with multiple major cities around the world.
