Bill Clinton Speaks at the New Riu Plaza Panama Hotel

  • The former President of the United States addressed humanitarian issues during conference that took place on Saturday at Riu’s first city-center hotel

Former President of the United States Bill Clinton visited Panama to give a lecture entitled “Embracing Our Common Humanity” in the Panama Grand Salon of the Riu Plaza Panama Hotel. In his speech, Clinton shared his vision and vast knowledge of such topics as the challenges of globalization, incentives for growth and interdependence as well as how to create a more connected future for humankind, based on shared goals and values. Clinton, who is the United Nations Special Envoy to Haiti, visited Panama on a private mission and chose the new Riu Plaza Panama Hotel for his conference. Mr. Clinton gathered 1,180 persons in the conference.
The luxurious 5-star hotel is a modern 35-storey building with 645 rooms and offers an ideal atmosphere for meetings, reunions and events as well as for city breaks, or dinners and drinks in the city.
