Online travel specialist Travelmatch says that all inclusive holidays have proven particularly popular with their customers this summer. The company has seen a high level of interest in these packages, especially those based around luxurious resorts in sunny Mediterranean climes.

The company attributes the surge of interest in all inclusive packages, often to luxurious places like the Santa Lucia Hotel in Majorca, to the significant savings these trips present. Packages which include flights, hotel stays and food and drink are often heavily discounted, and ensure that holidaymakers don’t need to spend a great deal of money on extras.

Research also demonstrates that all inclusive holidays are popular with British travellers. Data from Mintel, a market research company, shows that 39 per cent of all current UK holidays abroad are package trips.

Alex Francis of travelmatch.co.uk comments: “2011 has been a great year for package holidays and many of our customers are choosing to focus on them when making arrangements. They are simply the most affordable option, especially for those travelling with children. In this day and age this is a very sensible way to travel.”

Francis also believes that all inclusive holidays present a great opportunity for Brits to get some affordable luxury. He concludes: “Our five star all inclusive holidays have proved particularly popular in recent months, as our customers are looking for the chance to spoil themselves and have a truly special time abroad. We have some great deals to sumptuous five star hotels, so it’s possible to have a luxurious trip without spending too much money.”
