Brussels: the capital of humanitarian aid

Brussels will have the honour of hosting the AidEx show at the Brussels Expo on 19th and 20th October. This event, unlike any other of its kind, will be taking place for the first time at the heart of the European capital, which will be doing everything possible to make sure the event is held here every year.

The purpose of AidEx is to facilitate collaboration between professionals in the international community involved in humanitarian aid. This event brings together key players from charities, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), government and intergovernmental agencies contributing to emergency and development programmes.

Over two days, the show will offer visitors the unique opportunity to meet more than 200 participants providing emergency products and services. Visitors thus have the chance to meet new players in this area of activity.

Why Brussels?

Brussels was chosen because of its central geographical location as well as its role as capital for 500 million Europeans. As well as European institutions and NATO, the European capital is also home to some 3,000 international associations, NGOs and intergovernmental organisations. It is also worth pointing out that the organisation work for this event has been facilitated by the services offered by VISITBRUSSELS.
