EIBTM AWARDS EXHIBITORS FOR INNOVATIVE SHOWCASES

EIBTM 2011 awards eight stands at the show in Barcelona for exhibition excellence in a variety of categories.

 The EIBTM Stand Awards looks to recognise and highlight the best and most effective exhibitors and their stands. The awards have been designed to reward companies who successfully create impactful and business effective environments with their space at EIBTM.

 The panel of judges comprised Jeremy Garbett (Founder, Deeper Blue Ltd), Pat Holmes (Managing Director, Pat Homes Consulting), Nina Gardiner (Managing Partner, Cut Communications) who judged the Most Effective use of PR award and Charlie Banks (Sustainability Events Advisor, Positive Impact Events) who judged the Sustainable Stand Award.

The following winners were announced:

6) Most Innovative Stand within the Technology and Event Services Village Portugal Travel Team
7) Most Effective Use of PR London & Partners
8) Sustainable Stand Award Conventa

 

The Best Shell Scheme Design award was won by Eventresult for its unusual, persuasive design graphics. The stand was well executed with a good control of graphics iconography, lighting and stand furniture.

Ben Buurke, Managing Director, Eventresult commented: “EIBTM is an extremely important exhibition for Eventresult. The show offers an excellent opportunity to meet senior level personnel from the international congress and meetings industry.

We are delighted that our stand won the Award for ‘Best Shell Scheme Design’. We are a company which provides presentation solutions and it was important that anyone who walked past our stand could easily understand what we offer; in a clear and appealing way. It is therefore, very satisfying that our efforts have been acknowledged by the organisers of EIBTM, with such an award.”

The winner of the Best Stand Design Overall, the Hungarian Convention Bureau was awarded for a light, spacious stand with great use of compound curves and movement to catch the eye of visitors and bring them into the stand.

Anikó Ferenczy, Director commented: “We are very proud that the Hungarian booth representing the importance of our thermal water treasures was awarded “Best Stand Overall Design” at last by EIBTM. The award is the recognition of our work in order to have an impressive stand to attract more visitors at the fairs.”

Best Stand for Doing Business was awarded to Barcelona Convention Bureau for positive first impressions, clear signage and graphics and a relaxed spacious environment and dedicated lounge space, which proved very conducive to business.

Dawn Page, Director of UK and Northern Europe of the Hong Kong Tourism Board and winner of the Best Stand Personnel award commented: “We are honoured to receive this ‘Best Stand Personnel’ Award. The award does not only recognise the great performance of our hospitable team, but also underlies HKTB’s long-standing commitment to offering top class services to visitors and upholding Hong Kong’s reputation as a welcoming destination.”

Oman Ministry of Tourism was awarded Best Stand Feature and Attraction for a well crafted and discreet stand design embodying the spirit and soul of Oman and Portugal was awarded for Most Innovative Stand Technology and Event Services for their use of a large LED block which was used to project a colourful and vivid software story of iconic stills.

The Most Effective use of PR award was presented to London and Partners for their integrated campaign combining media relations, press conference, social media and innovative use of promotions and brand messaging at the show.

Conventa, the South East European Exhibitions for Meetings, Events and Incentives won the Sustainable Stand Award this year for their clear understanding of sustainability and visual design of their stand. The stand was built using sustainable wooden creates and cardboard as well as other reusable items.

EIBTM 2012 takes place 27th – 29th November 2012, Barcelona.
