The year of gastronomy, Brusselicious, is reaching its cruising speed! After The Brusselicious breakfasts and the Tram Experience, it’s the turn of the Themed Dinners. So pull up a chair and enjoy a unique experience, savouring exquisite food in some of Brussels’ more unusual venues. On Saturday 14th April 2012, at the Tram Museum, you will have the chance to take part in the first dinner, the Belgian Winemakers’ Dinner.

VISITBRUSSELS will be organising 8 themed dinners in total throughout the Brusselicious year. The focus for the event will be on diversity and good company. The idea is not just to eat delicious food, but mainly to give visitors the chance to dine in some rather unusual places. The theme diners will focus on events specific to Brussels, so there will be dinners to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Les Misérables, Ommegang and the 90th birthday of Toots Thielemans to name but a few.

To open the third Belgovino show, which will be taking place at the Tram Museum on 15th April, amateur or expert wine lovers, you can be the first to taste wines from Belgian producers. It’s worth pointing out that a good number of these winemaker’s vineyards are managed abroad by our fellow citizens, mainly in the Bordeaux region.

After a drink and a look round the show, you will be able to savour a delicious meal created by chef Lionel Rigolet from the Comme Chez Soi restaurant, in the company of these Belgian winemakers, who will be joining the guests at each table. An evening of good company, new friends and fantastic flavours.

Tickets are now on sale to the public. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to meet some Belgian winemakers!
