The European Society for Microbiology and Infectious Diseases – ESCMID, announced the appointment of Kenes International as their new Long Term Professional Congress Organiser starting with the ECCMID Congress in the year 2014

The Society’s yearly congress ECCMID, attracts around 10,000 participants and is recognised by academia, the clinical setting and industry as the largest European congress for the presentation and discussion of research in the fields of clinical microbiology and infection.

ECCMID offers a wide range of sessions including keynotes, symposia, poster sessions, educational workshops, meet-the-expert sessions and more. ESCMID aims at an on-going development and innovation of its congress formats, the optimizing of the delegates scientific and professional experience, before during and after the congress while maintaining the highest of organizational standards.

We went through a very thorough process of preselecting and selection, says Prof. Gunnar Kahlmeter, the president of ESCMID.
Our desire for further congress development and change led to a search and comparison between PCO’s capable of servicing ESCMID. In the recent months, we visited a number of congresses executed by Kenes International and spoke to clients, delegates and stakeholders.
