FITUR GET-AWAYS: Visitors Can Take Advantage of Some Exclusive Travel Offers on the Weekend

As a new feature on this occasion, within the framework of FITUR participating companies are now able to offer a series of exclusive discounts, promotions and benefits to the general public.

The International Tourism Trade Fair, which is due to take place between 30th January and 3rd February 2013, seeks to boost its most commercial dimension on this occasion.  In this respect, as a new feature, the companies and bodies taking part at FITUR will be able to sell and market their products and services to visitors on the days on which the show is open to members of the general public (Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd February 2013).

The FITUR GET-AWAYS have a two-fold objective. On the one hand they seek to offer new commercial opportunities to the exhibitors, enabling them to maximise the returns on their participation at the fair over the weekend. On the other, they enable visitors to the trade fair to take advantage of a series of exclusive offers, promotions and discounts, whilst discovering the most attractive destinations and most suggestive ideas for their next holiday.

Spain’s official bodies will also join this initiative through the auspices of their co-exhibitors. The companies from the Valencian Region, for example, have prepared a series of special offers featuring discounts on early reservations for the summer season, as well as additional nights and free accommodation for children for all those who acquire these products during the weekend at FITUR.

Furthermore, at the stand belonging to the Valencian Region, visitors will come across discounts on more than 250 tourism products. The stand belonging to the Principality of Asturias will offer a series of packages, get-aways, experiences and products and services offered by the entire Asturian tourist sector, grouped together under various different themes. The possibilities are extremely varied and range from star-gazing with a subsequent colloquium on astronomy at a rural lodge in Valdés to a gastronomic gymkhana in Cudillero.

Through the auspices of Basquetour, the Basque Country will make an extensive range of offers and discounts available to visitors through seven inbound tourism and travel agencies within the region, whilst Galicia has designed a series of tourist packages through Turgalicia that revolve around five wide-ranging themes:  Magical Shrines, Hidden Heritage, Lighthouses and Wild Beaches, Galician Woodlands and the Top Ten Unrivalled Destinations. At the stand belonging to Andalusia, Salobreña will present a series of experiences for tourist groups, as well as a range of accessible travel ideas in Granada through the auspices of the company, Accesitravel.

The business sector has also supported this initiative with a series of extremely interesting discounts and exclusive proposals for travellers. Ruralka, for example, has prepared various get-away ideas for visitors who approach its stand at FITUR. In this respect, we might mention the “Yellow Get-Away“, which can be enjoyed at more than 40 hotels throughout Spain and Portugal, and the “Black Get-Away“, which includes all of the hotels that make up the chain, based on a night’s accommodation with breakfast for two persons at a highly attractive price. For those who are looking for a special trip, the chain will offer its “Suite Get-Away” to visitors at the show, featuring exclusive rooms at Ruralka, as well as its “Experiences“, which combine the stay with ideas based on wine tourism, culinary treats, romantic details or family-based initiatives, among others.

Hoteles Silken will also take part in this campaign by offering its guests a series of added-value aspects at two of its establishments. Thus, Hotel Silken Puerta América will invite its guests to a drink at the Skynight Bar or at the Marmo Bar, amongst other benefits, whilst Hotel Silken Puerta Madrid will offer them free access to the hotel gym. For its part, Hoteles Servigroup will reward early bookings with discounts of up to 30% when these early reservations are made via the chain’s web page, thus guaranteeing a minimum price to all guests. If the reservation comes to more than three nights, these discounts will be complemented by various exclusive benefits, such as access to the hotel’s wellness centre and free drinks. Sandos Hoteles & Resort will offer a discount of up to 35%, depending on the hotel and the date on which the guest would like to stay. This offer is made exclusively to those guests who make their reservation in the Outlet Area that the chain plans to set up at its stand on the weekend.

Trips to Suit All Tastes

The FITUR GET-AWAYS 2013 initiative will also encompass a series of more exclusive trips. Those travellers who are interested in going on a safari in Africa can take advantage of the benefits that Safari Manía proposes at destinations as attractive as Kenya, featuring prices that start at 490 euros per person for a five-day trip. For its part, Nueva Zelanda Viajes & Australia Alternativa will offer free insurance to those visitors at FITUR who hire a car-caravan in order to discover Australia in the most authentic way.

Adventure forms the basis of the products that the company, Bigwall, will be promoting at FITUR. On the weekend, visitors can purchase 4X3 cards for guided adventure activities, whilst also benefiting from 20% discounts on different activities and the hire of equipment in order to complete the route known as the Vía Ferrata de La Hermida in Cantabria.

For its part, Hammam Al Andalus suggests that guests relax after their visit to the show with a 20% discount on different services, such as a session in these Moorish baths combined with an Almudaina ritual or a traditional rub down with a Moorish glove, the kessa. Those interested in taking advantage of this promotion must show their ticket for FITUR when reserving their session at any of the company’s four Moorish baths or Hammams located throughout Spain.

In short, once again this year FITUR has placed itself at the service of the tourist industry by creating the most ideal setting for the promotion of new business opportunities.
