International Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Sports Medicine Congress coming to Metro Toronto Convention Centre

ISAKOS CONGRESSTORONTO, May 6, 2013 /CNW/ – The International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) will host their 9th Biennial Congress in Toronto from May 12-16, 2013. The 2013 ISAKOS Congress will be held at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre and is anticipated to bring together more than 4,000 orthopedic surgeons, allied health personnel, residents, fellows and physical therapists.

“Our goal is to advance the worldwide exchange and dissemination of education, research and patient care in our field, the Biennial Congress is the signature event of our society,” said ISAKOS Congress Program Chair, Marc Safran, MD (USA). “This year our program emphasizes evidence based medicine, new surgical developments and basic science. With more than 1,800 different education events, the five-day Congress provides a variety of new preventative, therapeutic and surgical technique information, allowing attendees to expand their knowledge and enhance their surgical skills.”

ISAKOS will also be offering Sports Rehabilitation: Global Perspectives for the Physical Therapist and Athletic Trainer; a concurrent course running from May 12-14.
