London – (17th September 2013) The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) — the voice of the global business travel industry — today published the results from a survey of European travel buyers attending the GBTA Europe Conference 2013, being held in Prague, Czech Republic on 23rd-25th September 2013.

Top European travel buyers completed an online survey to define the topics to be discussed at two ‘Give and Take℠’ sessions to be held during the conference. The most popular subject, voted for by 50% of buyers was “emerging traveller support technologies – what’s new.” This was closely followed by “changes to the booking and traveller behaviour” and “communications – best practice and creating/ implementing plans” both of which received votes from 44% of buyers attending.

The ‘Give and Take℠’ sessions have been designed to encourage the sharing of information, facilitating discussions amongst delegates so that all attendees have the opportunity to learn, engage and maximise their ROI from the event.

Also new on the agenda this year is a GBTA app, designed to facilitate networking amongst conference delegates attending the conference as well as keep attendees abreast of all the conference sessions, discussions and functions available.

“The GBTA Europe Conference will focus on education, the sharing of knowledge and industry networking. The ‘Give and Take℠’ sessions are a great opportunity to discuss some of the key chosen topics, engaging the industry in open discussion. They allow attendees to tap into the collective knowledge of the group, while innovative technology such as our new app will facilitate the networking opportunities in addition to the numerous social events”, said Catherine McGavock, GBTA’s Regional Director for Europe.
