High-profile events in new multi-purpose hall

Berlin, 7 May 2014 A strong start for the new CityCube Berlin: the city’s most modern exhibition and convention hall is booking up fast in its first year of operation and is becoming a key venue for the national and international convention and meeting industry. The CityCube Berlin opened in early May.

One of the first events in the multi-purpose hall will be the June 11 Meeting Experts Award ceremony as part of the Meeting Experts Conference (MEXCON). About 700 representatives of the German conventions industry will be gathering for MEXCON, held in Berlin from 11 to 13 June. On the first night of the three-day conference, the Meeting Experts Award in the category “event planners/buyers” will be awarded by a jury of professionals in the industry.

Summer Conventions in Berlin: ICCA Workshop and AIPC Meeting

After the Meeting Experts Award ceremony, the CityCube Berlin will be hosting other important events: a total of thirty-four representatives of international organisations and convention offices will be gathering from 26–28 June in Berlin for the ICCA Sector Destination Marketing International Client/Supplier Business Workshop. One day of the workshop will be held at the CityCube Berlin. The participants will discuss the requirements and challenges facing each destination in planning future events. The host of the ICCA Workshop will be the Berlin Convention Office of visitBerlin.

From 29 June–2 July, the MICE industry will be gathering for the Annual Conference and 56th General Assembly of AIPC. This year’s conference will focus on the trends that will influence the market in the coming years. These include continuing globalisation, scarcity of resources and demographic changes.

The CityCube Berlin is the right place for these high-profile events: the cube-shaped building is equipped with the latest technology. The CityCube Berlin offers plenty of space for larger meetings and conventions with room for up to 11,000 participants over its three levels. Freely movable walls allow the multi-purpose hall to be adapted to the requirements of the particular event.
