London and Partners soars up ranking as one of best companies in UK to work forLondon & Partners, the Mayor’s official promotional company for the city, has risen significantly in a prestigious ranking to be judged one of the best organisations in the United Kingdom to work for.

 

London & Partners has risen to 44th from 86thplace last year in ‘The Sunday Times 100 Best Not for Profit Organisations to Work For 2016’.  The company was recognised with a special award for learning and development, and improved its overall score in the leadership and fair deal categories.

London & Partners was founded in April 2011 as a public private partnership between the Mayor of London and London businesses. The company took over the previous promotional roles of Think London, Visit London and Study London and promotes the capital to the world, attracting businesses, events, congresses, students and visitors. The company aims to build London’s international reputation and to attract investment and visitor spending, creating jobs and growth.

Over the last four years London & Partners has added £1 billion economic benefit to the city’s economy, created or secured 30,000 jobs and helped 1050 overseas companies to set up and expand in London.

Gordon Innes, CEO of London & Partners, said: “This significant rise in these rankings is a testament to the talented individuals who work tirelessly at London & Partners to attract jobs and economic growth for Londoners.

“London & Partners was recognised with a special award for learning and development, recognising our commitment to developing the whole person whilst they are with us, even if their career path will eventually lead outside the organisation.”

The 2016 results were announced at the Sunday Times annual awards ceremony, with guest speaker The Rt Hon Priti Patel MP Minister of State for Employment –   on Wednesday 24th February at Battersea, London.
