athenaum awardsThe Athenaeum InterContinental Athens has been awarded Greece’s Leading Business Hotel for 2009 at the World Travel Awards.

The World Travel Awards were established in 1993 to acknowledge, reward and celebrate the enormous achievements to be found in all sectors of the global travel industry. In the years since, dedicated travel agents & tour operators have come to regard the World Travel Awards as the best endorsement that any travel product could receive. The 2009 poll was the highest in the World Travel Awards’ 16-year history with 170,000 industry professionals from more than 200 countries casting their votes on the very best travel, tourism and hospitality products & services.
