Berlin/Bad Salzuflen, March 2011 – The two Maritim Hotels in Berlin offer excellent conference facilities in the heart of the pulsating capital. Just recently, in December 2010, the Maritim Hotel Berlin in Stauffenbergstrasse was elected by the specialist magazine “Der Feinschmecker” as the tenth-best conference hotel in Germany. This superior four-star hotel with an event capacity of up to 5,500 people is the largest conference hotel in the centre of Berlin. It sets new standards: the hotel’s principal facility, the “Maritim Hall”, provides space for up to 3,100 people and the “Berlin Hall” can accommodate up to 1,200 people. Both halls and their extending foyers cover more than 4,000 square metres. A further 21 conference and seminar rooms and three foyers with direct connection to the halls are available. For smaller conferences and gatherings of 8 to 24 people, 41 additional conference suites are available for use. With the Maritim proArte Hotel Berlin in Friedrichstrasse, Maritim has become a market leader in the key “meetings & congresses” sector in the centre of the federal capital. The two hotels offer optimal conditions, especially for large international events, and establish one of Germany’s best-known brands in the international market.

Since the relaunch of the website, new service tools have made the planning and running of events of all sizes much easier. They include an online banquet folder, a built-in budget calculator and the introduction of two basic flat daily rates that can be extended by individually bookable service components. Potential users who want to see whether the two superior hotels provide suitable facilities and the appropriate, exclusive ambience can look at image films of these two hotels on the Maritim pages.

The Maritim Hotel Berlin in Stauffenbergstrasse is centrally located between the Culture Forum and the Zoo and has 505 rooms, including 71 suites. At 350 square metres, the presidential suite is the largest in town and its roof terrace offers an impressive panoramic view of the city. Culinary delights at the Maritim Hotel Berlin are provided by the “Restaurant Maritim”, including the “Brasserie” with 520 covers and what is surely the largest breakfast buffet in Berlin. The “Grand Restaurant M” is an à-la-carte restaurant with 120 covers in the elegant inner area and 40 additional seats on the terrace in front of the restaurant in the summer.

The Maritim proArte Hotel has been very popular with design fans for many years. The opening of this hotel already introduced a special art concept: many hotel areas are decorated with paintings by various, contemporary German artists, who are known as “Die Neuen Wilden”.

The hotel is located in Friedrichstrasse in the heart of Berlin near the Brandenburg Gate and the Gendarmenmarkt and has a total of 403 double rooms in various categories, including 29 suites, of which two are presidential suites. All rooms are equipped with the latest communications technology. The hotel has the second-largest conference centre in the heart of Berlin, with conference and event facilities for up to 1,500 people.

In 2007, the Maritim proArte Hotel was the first hotel in Berlin to be certified organic by Agro-Öko-Consult Berlin GmbH, an EU control unit for the ecological production and processing of agricultural products. Guests of the elegant four-star hotel in Friedrichstrasse can now have organically grown food for breakfast and lunch. Guests can choose between three culinary concepts: the “Galerie” buffet restaurant serves breakfast, lunch and special buffets, the “Media Bistro” offers light lunches and there is the “Atelier” gourmet restaurant, where selected works by Philippe Stark and Peter Kuckei provide the rooms with a very special flair.
