Making a record strong start in 2011, Sarawak is working hard to maintain its successful run by expanding its team in Kuala Lumpur, West Malaysia.

Recording an impressive 80% success rate in 2010, the Sarawak Convention Bureau (SCB) attracted 42 conventions to the heart of the World’s oldest rainforest. These conventions are expected to generate nearly RM55 million in delegate expenditure. It’s a hard act to follow this year with increasing competition regionally and strong support for Malaysian bidders from competing national destinations.

In the first six weeks of 2011 have been the busiest ever in terms of new bid successes with confirmation of nine new international conferences. New business booked includes the:
